Betty Gross (bagnaturephotos) > (Black Bear #2) Speaking of big animals.....this is one of the biggest. Sometimes referred to as a cinnamon bear, the only animal bigger is the grizzly. There were lots of signs near our digs "Grizzly Bear Area - Special Rules Apply"......gee, I see that one as a no-brainer!!
Betty Gross (bagnaturephotos) > (Black Bear #1) This was another road-side sighting. However, the rangers are a lot more diligent when bears are involved. I had to insinuate myself into the "tripod jungle" of the more serious photographers and wait for about 40 minutes to get even this far away shot. Quite an adventure when you consider that the bear can run about 30 mph - and we know Betty can't come close to that!!
